thanks. In next update, please make max player limit optional as in some games it can be defined in config file as well which helps in changing player limit without restarting server like in csgo where gamemodes file is used to change limit and eventually on next map change it gets effective so many don't use max player in command line of server becasuse of this.

It is like that, you leave maxplayers blank and it will not be in the launch cmd (same for map).
Only -game,-ip,-port are replaced by the one from the config

Latest update has an issue if i start from a fresh install, I am unable to select steam command. Previous version didnt have that issue. Tested on two webbrowsers firefox and chrome. Screenshot is attached

There was a latest update of CSGO srcds so I checked if this works, I installed this, configured a server with option auto stop on exit so it udpates it.
Once i ran the server through SZmgr , in console I could see master server update is available but this manager didnt really start steamcmd etc and didnt shut down server on update? is that normal, how do i know it is really gonna update and when?
 
Depends. When you use xcopy, the cache will be updated first and when its done, the server will be shutdown (usually after 2mn from the trigger new version available) then update. if xcopy is not used, after 2mn the server should shutdown then do the update. Snipezilla uses the xcopy mod, which always worked very well. I have never tested the 'direct' update tbh, but I don't think there any noticable difference: after 2mn of warning (or whatever time is selected) szmgr will shutdown the server when the update is ready. you can check the log and see if the update was completed. if not let me know and i will fixed the problem.
My hard-drive died on me so I lost some work i did start, which pissed me off. but I will soon update the interface.

thats the only thing i see in logs
 
I'm guessing your game is up-to-date.
Your message is showing that Szmgr has just been launched. Nothing is checked/monitoring until the startup timer expires (default 2mn)
Otherwise, You should hav this log (from 8/14):
4 - 21:19:48 - 740: New version available. 13494 -> 13496.
4 - 21:19:49 - ESS CS:GO: steamCMD.exe is updating cache /apps/740.
4 - 21:21:49 - ESS CS:GO: New Version is available! Server is shutting down.

It wasn't up to date so I had to manually update it. Any idea what I might be doing wrong. Does this require a separate plugin of sourcemod too or something?
 
No plugin needs. It checks every 2mn for new version, then warms for 2 mn before restrating the server. If there's a problem during version check, it should be a log. So when you start the first time szmgr, it takes around 5mn to update everything. Maybe you didn't give enough time. you can test by changing the patch version in steam.inf (root/csgo/steam.inf) and restart the task or the server. Timers can be changed.
 
U r right i guess. I'm going to try it again.
Running 10 sessions of CSGO without this manager, if i run this manager, it doesnt take over existing running sessions and a new process of srcds is started which it controls, i guess that is normal?
 
Hi, just stumbled across this tool, pretty much fell into place without any real drama.. just waiting to see it do its nightly reboot and updates process...

As for the EMAIL alerts... can i specify ip-address:25 of a remote SMTP server to use ? (i don't have one running on the same server as SZMgr)
 
I don't know. You can try a php.ini in SzMgr\bin (where php.exe for szmgr resides) and manually open the port 25 on the win firewall.
I will be curious to know if it works since i have the same situation.
