Admin Rules

You are the admins of Snipezilla, and you therefore also represent this community, the servers and associated Steam groups. Please keep this in consideration when on the servers.

Many of these should be fairly apparent, but as a safety measure, they are being explained, point by point. Please give them a quick read-through if you are a newly-appointed admin or are interested.

Server/Forum Rules:

Hacking and Banning
**********************************************​

• Don't ban unless you are absolutely certain it is an aimbot. There are three people who check the logs regularly. Mistakes can happen, but preferably not three or four times in a row.
• If you suspect wallhacking (or something of the sort), then please make a demo and upload to the ban/unban forums. If you are uncertain as to how one records a demo, then please read through this wiki page - Only exception being that the wallhacker is so incredibly blatant that it's too obvious. We don't need you creating a one-man war.
• If player is using a name-changer, but not showing any signs of more severe gameplay changes, then a permanent ban is still acceptable. The individual is likely to use other third-party programs.
• If you are uncertain about somebody hacking, ask the forum community! These forums are here for many reasons, that being one of them.

Admin Behaviour

• Four words: Behaviour. Dedication. Maturity. Morality. Please abide by them when acting under the Snipezilla Admin banner. But hopefully these four words shouldn't be new to your vocabulary.
• Reasonable and mature admin behaviour is the pinnacle of maintaining a good server atmosphere. None of us will tolerate immature and/or abusive behaviour whilst wearing the metaphorical admin tag.
• If another player is irritating via either voice-chat or messaging, then simply mute/gag/silence them by using the comms ban console. Do not permanently silence players.
• There have been multiple cases where admins have banned/kicked players for reasons such as 'stupid', 'cunt' or simply 'annoying'. None of those explain why, or are justified reasons on their own, and are far too vague. Either explain properly, or use one of the listed reasons in the command console. It doesn't look good on your part if we can't understand the logs/bans on Sourcebans.
• If certain players continue to be irritating, and you feel uncertain about what action to follow, then please contact either Darth Doggy, Husky or Drunkdoc and we will try and help where possible. We don't need anybody leading a one-man war, but we also don't want you feeling irritated or powerless.
• Don't Be A Twat.

Admin Responsibilities

• If you're intending on being an admin, then please consider being active at least once in a while. Having too many inactive admins can sometimes make life harder for us, in the case of one going rogue or misrepresenting our community.

Forum Behaviour
*************************************​

• Same behaviour on server applies to forums. There are five moderators, so don't be surprised if you receive a warning message in the case of antagonizing, abusive or insulting posts. Also, they may be removed for said reasons if the post serves no purpose but to antagonize.
• Just keep it clean

This post will most likely be edited in the future according to situations or if necessary new rules. I hope the latter will not be necessary.
