West Coast SvS Server?

Any plans to someday make a west coast SZ server? Or am I just going to have 90+ ping no matter what? I feel like us west coast guys need some more love, I for one would kill for a server where i can get less than 50 ping. Ping sniping isn't all that fun anymore.

90+ is high. The problem with a cali server, it will be high for everybody else, since most of Internet connection is routed through Chicago or Dallas (unless I m wrong).
And a euro server make more sense to extend the community.

Asia/oceania would be perfect. besides the language barrier or the aussie cost.
The euro and the usa are very good for our community. But, right now, having 2 servers in NA is very questionable, adding one more in cali would be stupid imo

so you think down the road we should make two more servers or more? Maybe South America, Asia, and Oceania? I have no idea which location would provide us with more players. Thoughts on which location would be best suited for a new server.

I don't really know. We should ask some australian/japanese/korean, where their pings start to turn laggy at first (>100).

There is 1800+ from australia, 977 from thailand, 640 from phillipines,400 new zealand, 250 from korea, 640 from hong kong, 100 from vietnam, 60 japaneses etc etc. All active ~ within 1 year. I imagine with a very high ping, so opening a server in the middle would definitely gather a lot of snipers and some good one.

If it was my decision I would just make the 24/7 orange server into an Orient located server, but hey that's just me.

If you want to target Oceania in the mix as well, I suggest LA but if not, probably Portland or Seattle, and in fact, maybe even Vancouver BC could be a possibility for them guys up north.

It should be 170 ms but the shit quality of australian networking is really killing it. RIP APX East. Servers located in Hawaii would be a perfect opportunity for server companies, because a solution between East Coast and EU doesn't exist. I don't understand why its all routing for transpacific cables though
