TF2 Sniper's unable to download maps from server.

I've had LifeForce and ^ESS^ The Lone Spirit tell me they have to download the map manually and put it in the dir. folder. I'm able to download direct from server any map I do not have. Is there a solution to this issue for our Snipers?
