I cant find the changelog that mentions this update, and some people have said its been a while since they made this change but I just can't believe it went under the radar for more than a day.
The update I am talking about here has caused a lot of mod issues. Specifically for: SourceMod, SourceBans, and HLSTATSX. So how could an update break all three in one swoop. Believe it or not, Steam decided to change the STEAMID format. Today I typed status like I always do when investigating fishy players.
The new STEAMID Format:
versus the old
The change here that we need to worry about is the "STEAM_0:1:6047325" to this new and mysterious "U:1:12096451".
Very troublesome... I have no idea if they used some kind of algorithm to translate the old to the new or what not... More will probably surface when the makers of the mods throw out their updates which will (hopefully) at the least provide some method of updating the id's to the new format based on already entered id's. This would be very troublesome to have to add all of those ID's in manually! This would go for bans, and the stats!
So, as of right now literally no one has admin rights on the snipezilla servers, and I'm pretty sure the player bans recorded with only their old steamIDs will probably have access to the server again. IP bans would not change unless of course they reset their router or what not.
First person to ban with the new ID!

Looks like I'll also need to update A Quick Guide for the Hangman
